Ghana Home Loans -Corporate Social Responsibility

Ghana Home Loans has been actively involved in corporate social responsibility since June 2009. Our aim is to impact peoples’ lives and the environment in which we live.

Every month Ghana Home Loans tries to give back to the society. We do this through monthly projects which cover education, health, socio- cultural and economic spheres. Project: Educational materials for the Akropong school of the Blind

Sponsorship:  Ghana Home Loans made a donation of 50 packs of Braille sheets and 7 packs of Braillons to the School for the Blind in Akropong. According to some staff members of the school, students of the institution are unable to purchase Braille sheets and Braillons because of their expensive nature. Because of the inadequacy of these learning materials, teaching and learning was greatly impaired. The staff and students of the institution were so happy with the donation because it was going to improve their worrisome situation.

Project: Free medical screening at Ashiaman.

Sponsorship:  Ghana Home Loans joined the University of Ghana Medical students in celebrating their 12th Annual Health Week. As part of the activities marking the celebration a free medical screening was organized. Ghana Home Loans funded this exercise which gave free medical care for about 600 people. Staff of Ghana Home Loans assisted with the registration of the masses for the exercise. presentationRepresentatives of UGMSA receiving the chequeAbout 400 children were screened for malnutrition, malaria, eye problems and various infections, 250 school children were de-wormed on the same day.A mobile dental clinic was set up for free wash-outs, extractions, polishing and other dental care services. Some other activities carried out on the day included testing for: Blood pressure, Blood glucose, Blood Cholesterol, Body Mass Index (Weight/Height).  The final year students of the University of Ghana Medical School along with two doctors (Alumni) provided free consultation. Ghana Home Loans believes a healthy people produce a vibrant and healthy economy.

Project: Chemotherapy treatment for patient with tongue cancer

Sponsorship: Ghana Home Loans paid for the chemotherapy treatment of 6 year old Simeon Agbazi who is suffering from Tongue Cancer. His tongue is badly swollen and protruded making it difficult for him to eat or drink. Simeon’s treatment is supposed to be in three stages: Chemotherapy, surgery and Radiotherapy. He is currently undergoing radiotherapy treatment.

Sponsorship: Ghana Home Loans made a donation of GHC 1000  towards saving the lives of children living with Congenital Heart Disorder. We hope to partner with the organisation to give our little angels a golden heart indeed.
